A little after 7 a.m. I gave a couple of grunts and waited. About 10 minutes later I saw deer legs walking through the woods, but the cover was thick and I couldn’t tell if it was a buck.
I gave a couple of estrus bleats and he grunted back to me as he continued in my direction. I finally had a good clear shot. Using my new Leupold Riflescope I was able to make a good clean hit. I could not have been happier if I had just taken my first deer. He was a beauty with eight main points and two broken points.
I have to give credit to Leupold and their Boone and Crocket reticle scopes. I found the big guy I was tracking, but Leupold gave me a bright clear target to bring the big guy home.
